Last week was our ten year anniversary and my birthday. For my birthday, Kris took me to Rainforest Cafe for lunch- because that's where I picked to eat out. I love Rainforest Cafe! The food is always yummy, and you can't beat the atmosphere! After lunch, we took Jake to see Toy Story 3. It was so cute; and I could not believe I actually teared up towards the end of it! What a sap I am!
When we got home that evening my dad was waiting for us; along with my nephews. Every summer I take my nephews for a week- it's a nice break for my brother and sister-in-law, and Jake gets to have someone to play with. Since the next day was Father's Day I decided to order a cake. This way we could celebrate our anniversary, my birthday, and Father's Day with my dad all with one cake! I did have one dilemma though...what to write on the cake??? I thought for a minute and this is what I came up with:
As hard as Father's Day usually is for us, we had a pretty good time celebrating my Dad.
The last few days have been spent going to swimming lessons...
Going to the library...
Chuck E Cheese's...
and Vacation Bible School...!
This year's theme was "SeaQuest". Here are a couple more pics from my classroom. I taught the 7-8 yr. olds.
You are a busy lady!!! To go with your stay-cation, did you know there is a "water park" at the high school on Ironwood and Southern? It's like 2 bucks to get in! We went to one at a high school last summer, and it was a blast! I haven't been to this one so I don't know how good it is, but we plan on going before the summer is up for sure!!!
